A young motorcyclist with a “heart of gold” was selected, who died in a tragic accident in a bus near Dublin Airport.

Shane Murphy, 17, was killed just before 20:00 on Sunday at an intersection in the St Margaret area of northern Dublin.
The bus driver, a man in his 50s, was not injured in the terrible incident, but received shock treatment at the scene.

A close friend of mine said: “It saddens me that my family woke up with such bad news.
“Have a good rest, Shane, I hope you get the best mattress and you take care of your mom and dad, giving them the strength to get through that.
“I can’t believe it, I send my deepest sympathy to his family. Fly to High Shaneo, we will never forget you and we love you.”
Another added: “A young boy who was taken from his family very early, certainly big, kind, and loving family.
“Every time I talked to Shane he was always so cheerful and smiling, he had never seen him frown.
“I wish my best love and condolences to my best friend since we were about five years old. Have a good rest.”

A Garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “The Gardaí in Finglas is investigating a fatal traffic collision at the R122 and R108 St.Margarets, Finglas, Dublin 11 intersection at approximately 7:00 pm on Sunday evening, 23 August 2020.
