Officials said a 4-month pregnant woman who was shot and killed while sitting in a car on Thursday afternoon in North Philadelphia was not the intended target for the shooter.

A vigil is scheduled to honor a 25-year-old pregnant woman who was shot dead in North Philadelphia tonight on Thursday. Shaliyah Davis was shot in the head while sitting in an SUV on West Berks Street. She later died in the hospital.
A tragedy in which no victim has been prepared, especially since the victim brought a life to this world.
No arrests were made in the case, and the police are seeking public help to find the shooter.

Davis was only 25 years old and was four months pregnant. Her family said she was smart and had a bright future, but was shot and killed after visiting her relatives in North Philadelphia on Thursday.
Police say 25-year-old Shaliayah Davis was killed when the 2011 Ford Escape parked over 2500 blocks of West Berks Street and hit her in the head once.

Shaliyah Davis death incident Detail by Police
The police arrived at the scene immediately after 14:30. and took Davis to Temple University Hospital. Both David and the child were pronounced dead before 19:00.
Police said she believed her target to shoot on Friday was Davis’ boyfriend. During the shooting, the gunman was leaving Ford when he opened fire and hit Davis in the head.
Her boyfriend, who said Davis was the police weapon, chased after the shooter on Berks Street.
“As a result of a video we saved, and it seems that the second individual may be firing or at least chasing the original shooter with a gun,” Deputy Commissioner Benjamin Naish said. Said.
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw was on the scene with the crime scene investigators.
“Any shot is a terrible shot, but it continues to increase the urgency behind doing our best to prevent violence in our neighborhoods,” Commissioner Outlaw said. Said.
So far, no arrests have been made and no weapon has been saved.
