Chicago police officers answered the 3200 block of West Fulton Avenue at around 9:15 am with the phone of a stabbed person. Police said Chicago firefighters began to care for the injured girl when the officers arrived.
The police and the Cook County medical inspector’s office were taken to Stroger Hospital, where a girl named Serenity Arrington was reported dead. An autopsy ruled murder to death, saying he died from “multiple wounds in his neck”.

Police said that a female suspect who approached the police who came to the scene was detained.
Fourth District Detectives are conducting a murder investigation.

Simone Austin Charged with first degree murder

Chicago police said 27-year-old Simone Austin was charged with one first-degree murder.


Police allegedly stabbed Serenity Arrington in the throat at around 9:15 am on the 3200 block of West Fulton Boulevard. Police said she approached officers at the scene before she was detained.
