According to reports, an ultra-left journalist working in Arkansas was one of four suspects officially charged in connection with the explosion of police vehicles during the Black Lives Matter protests last week.

Federal officials claimed that 22-year-old Renea Baek Goddard was linked to a group that threw Molotov cocktails at Little Rock Police Department vehicles on August 25, Post-Millennial reported.


The four suspects were arrested after months of investigation by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to a report from the US Arkansas East District Procuratorate on December 17.
“Today’s arrests send the message that violence against law enforcement will not be tolerated,” said Cody Hiland, the US Attorney General, according to Little Rock’s FOX 16. “Breaking into a police building and dropping a bomb on a police vehicle with a homemade explosive is clearly not a peaceful protest.”

Why Renea Baek Goddard charged and arrested?

The Post-Millennial report said Goddard was charged with obstructing government operations by violating a local curfew during a BLM protest on June 2, in which case she was scheduled to appear in court on January 22.


According to the report, the journalist worked for KUAR Public Radio in Little Rock, contributed to LGBTQ news outlet Autostraddle, and did an internship for Arkansas Public Media after attending the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.

Goddard’s photos posted online included a picture of him wearing a transparent top and open leather skirt, nun-like outfit.
“As white supremacists try to rebrand more and more brands, journalists have a responsibility to be on the alert,” Goddard wrote on the Truthout news site in 2019. “There must be an end to this charade in which neutrality requires taking a centrist position.”

Other suspect who were with Renea Baek Goddard

According to the report, three other suspects charged last week were also linked to far-left activism.
According to Post-Millennial, 31-year-old Brittany Dawn Jeffrey is accused of allowing activists to use her home to mount incendiary devices and posted her arrest live on Facebook on December 17. She showed in the report that the video initially refused to get out of her car when the police approached her.
Jeffrey has had numerous previous arrests, including one for criminal violations on July 12, as BLM activists demonstrated at Conway, Ark.in a workplace after a former employee was accused of racism. According to the report, she is expected to be tried in this case on January 14th.

The other suspects facing the charges were identified as 24-year-old Aline Espinosa-Villegas; and Emily Nowlin, 27.

Espinosa-Villegas is being held without bail in Pulaski County Detention Center in connection with federal charges, according to the report.
In addition to incendiary bombs on police vehicles, Nowlin is also accused of misdemeanor and irregular behavior for participating in blocking traffic during a June 2 protest, the Post-Millennial newspaper reported.
All four defendants appeared in court for the first time in Little Rock on December 17, according to the report.
