On Friday, at least 1000 people gathered around a statue in Grant Park where police armies clashed with demonstrators practicing pepper spray and beat people with wooden batons at witnesses who have so far been described as the ‘bloodiest’ protests.
When 18-year-old activist Miracle Boyd said he was in discussion with an officer, he had finished addressing the crowd protesting against the statue.

The officer snatched her phone and hit her face.
A few videos of this change appeared on social media, which showed that Boyd got away from the officers before she hurried, hitting her face and covering her bloody mouth.
Boyd, a member of the GoodKids MadCity youth group, said he got the officers’ phone.
