On Friday, at least 1000 people gathered around a statue in Grant Park where police armies clashed with demonstrators practicing pepper spray and beat people with wooden batons at witnesses who have so far been described as the ‘bloodiest’ protests.

When 18-year-old activist Miracle Boyd said he was in discussion with an officer, he had finished addressing the crowd protesting against the statue.
