A man who was found fatally shot in a car that crashed in the Hawthorne neighborhood Thursday identified as 34-year-old Larry Borteh
The man, who was shot deadly in a falling car in the Hawthorne neighborhood on Thursday, worked as a northern Minneapolis educator and youth mentor, according to his friends.
The authorities have not yet named the victim, but for a long time peace activist K.G. Wilson described him as 34-year-old Larry Borteh.

The officers found Borteh at 14:45. On Thursday, N. collided in a car near the intersection of Avenue 21 and N. Avenue 4, but police suspect that he was shot elsewhere, possibly at 2100 block of N. Fremont Avenue.
According to police spokesperson John Elder, he was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale by ambulance. More information about the shooting conditions was not immediately available.

Soon afterwards, Wilson said he went to the crime scene to comfort the victim’s family, not realizing that his friend was the deadly hit person, as he had done for years. He says he has learned the devastating truth until the next day.
“I was crushed, hurt,” he said, learning about Borteh’s death. He described Borteh as a cheerful and cheerful man working at the Minnesota Internship Center in northern Minneapolis and going to the youth of the field.

He was not arrested on Friday afternoon.
