Ken Riley, the head coach and athletic director of the reception material Florida A & M, died on Sunday. He was 72 years old.

Kenneth Jerome Riley (born August 6, 1947) is a former professional American football Cornerback who played his entire career in the Cincinnati Bengals, in the American Football League in 1969 and in the NFL from 1970 to 1983. Riley recorded 65 interceptions in his career, which was fourth-most in Pro football history at the time of his retirement for the three members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame; Dick Lane, Emlen Tunnell, and Paul Krause. But despite his accomplishments, Riley was never an exceptionally popular or well-known player. In his 15 seasons, Riley has never been selected to play in AFL All-Star Game or AFC-NFC Pro Bowl, and to this day has not been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Before his professional career, Riley played quarterback for the Florida A&M University . Besides being an experienced athlete, Riley also excelled in his studies. He received his team’s scholastic award and Rhodes Scholar candidacy. In 1977, Riley was anchored in the Florida A&M Sports Hall of Fame.
After graduating from college, Riley was selected by the Bengals in the 6th round of the 1969 overall draft .
Riley Career And Playing History
Riley, black, was chosen by the Bengals on the sixth round of the 1969 NFL draft, and coach Paul Brown’s management decided to turn it back. Back then, the black starter founders at NFL were unheard of. Riley retired in 1983.

Riley spent two seasons with Green Bay Packers as an assistant before coaching at Florida A & M, where she went from 48 to 39-2 from 1986 to 1993. He won the title of the two Middle East Athletic Conferences and became the MEAC twice. Coach of the Year.
Pro has never been on the Football Hall of Fame, but Florida A&M and Black College Football Halls have been featured in halls of fame and was one of 33 players assigned to the Florida High School Association All-Century Team. He played high school at Union Academy in Bartow, Florida.
The school said that Riley died in Bartow. The cause of death was not released.
Current Rattlers coach Willie Simmons said that Riley will be missed.
