Hilary Tisch, the daughter of the New York Giants’ chairman and co-owner Steve Tisch, has died. She was 36.

“Hilary was a kind, caring and beautiful person,” Steve said in a statement by Giants to PEOPLE. “Her mother, sisters, brothers and I are devastated by her death. She leaves a hole in our hearts and lives.”

“She e fought depression as bravely as she could,” said the producer. “We love her very much and we will miss hier very much. Our family is completely heartbroken and mourns her tragic loss. We want privacy in this very difficult time.”
Hilary died in the hospital Monday, following the weekend suicide attempt, TMZ reported.

Hilary was a jewelry designer and jewelry scientist and co-founder of Doen, a Los Angeles-based brand.
The creative consultant said in her biography for the company that she shared her dog Pearl and her time between LA and Aspen, Colorado.

Hilary said that besides antique jewelry, their passion is “to discover and collect antique furniture, objects, and beautiful clothes, both old and new. I am often drawn to unique and special pieces that look modern despite their age.”

Hilary also volunteered for the nonprofit Operation Smile with her father and siblings to provide free surgeries for cleft lips and palate.

Born November 1, 1983, Hilary survived by her father Steve, mother Patsy and siblings Will Tisch and his wife Grace, Elizabeth Tisch, Holden Tisch and Zachary Tisch.

John Mara, co-owner of Giants, expressed his Tribute and condolences to the Tisch family.

“On behalf of the Mara family and the rest of the Giants organization, I want to express our deepest sympathy for Steve and her family. Our hearts are heavy for Hilary’s loss. We pray for their peace and comfort.”
