In a tragic incident, a popular Marathi playback singer Geeta Mali died in a road accident in Maharastra. According to the police, the accident happened on the Mumbai-Agra highway in the early hours on Friday.

Geeta Mali Accident

Recently, she returned from the US and was heading for her hometown Nashik. The speeding car collided with the gas tanker parked along the roadside. In the collision, Geeta and her husband sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Shahpur Rural hospital. Where she died while receiving treatment and her Vijay is said to be in critical condition.

Where the Geeta Mali Accident happened

The accident took place near Lahe Phata near Shahapur around 3 pm. Both Geeta mali and Vijay were injured seriously and taken to Shahpur Rural Hospital, but Geeta died during treatment, police said. Geeta had sung songs for a few Marathi films and also cut her own music albums, reported PTI.

Geeta Mali and her husband Vijay were on the Mumbai-Agra highway, heading to her hometown Nashik after returning from the United States when the car crash took place. Both Geeta Mali and her husband were seriously injured and taken to Shahpur Rural Hospital. The singer died during treatment.
